Dr. Veronica Getty is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Though she spent ten years in the financial industry following her service, her passion for pets and people led her to find a new calling, and she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree with an exotic animal focus from North Carolina State University.
Focused on building relationships, she treats every owner like family, and every pet as if it were her own. She is proud to be a part of the Dogwood Family and believes that every pet deserves convenient, compassionate, high-quality care.
Previous leadership roles in the vet med industry include regional medical excellence and operations. She has practiced Veterinary Medicine in Arizona, California, Georgia and North Carolina. Through coaching and mentorship, Dr. Getty remains dedicated to contributing to a hospital where anyone on the team can thrive.
Dr. Getty and her husband reside in Peachtree City, GA with their two cats: Zeus and Sabot aka Kitten. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren. Dr. Getty also enjoys playing Pickleball, exercising and reading.
